Skiing In Antarctica Before Anyone Else

Ever wondered what it’s like to ski in Antarctica before anyone else that season? Or what goes into filming backcountry skiers, adaptive athletes, and even couples getting married in some of the most remote places on Earth? Award-winning photographer and filmmaker Tamara Šuša has done it all.

Voted Best Local Photographer in Aspen, Tamara captures everything from extreme adventure sports to intimate mountain elopements. She shares how she went from photographing nightclubs in Chicago to documenting adventure sports, environmental stories, and weddings in some of the world's most breathtaking landscapes.

She talks about the rare experience of skiing and filming in Antarctica before anyone else that season, why October is the only window for backcountry skiing there, and what it’s like to document adventures in places few people ever see. She also dives into her films Two Legs Is Too Easy and 80 for 80, along with her climate-focused photography projects. Let’s dive in!
